Breast reduction surgery is more frequently applied to patients who give birth and suffer shoulder and back pain due to excessive breast enlargement. More rarely, it is applied to young girls with structurally oversized breasts.

The surgical procedure usually takes 3-5 hours and hospitalization may be required for 1-3 days.

The procedure is performed under general anesthesia. Recovery is approx.  It lasts for 1 month, it is possible to return to daily life in 3-5 days. Special bras are used for 1 month after the operation and heavy sports activities are avoided.
