Eyelid Surgery

The process can take 30-40 minutes for upper covers, 1 hour for lower covers, and up to 2 hours if both covers are made together.

 

It can be performed under local anesthesia or under general anesthesia.

 

In my practice, my preference is to perform the procedure under general anesthesia for lower eyelid procedures.

 

 

 

In upper eyelid surgery, the patient is discharged on the same day. One night stay in the hospital for lower cover procedures.

 

I close the seams with a thin tape and at the end of the 5th day, I remove these tapes and perform the remove stitches.

 

Swelling or bruising is seen in a very small amount in the upper lid process, while edema and bruising are more common in the lower lid process.

 

After a period of 2-3 weeks, the recovery is roughly completed, and a clearer change is observed at the end of the third month, especially for the lower lids.

 

 

 

Rejuvenation can be made more effective by adding botox application for patients with wrinkles around the eyes. In my practice, if my patient has recently had Botox, I suggest that he wait for the effect to break.
