Prominent Ear

 

The fact that the ears are prominent does not cause any problems in terms of function, but draws attention visually.

There is no medicinal treatment for the correction of the shape, it can only be corrected surgically.

 

Surgery can be performed at the age of 5 and over.

 

Surgery can also be performed under local anesthesia. It is applied under general anesthesia in young children.

 

The duration of the operation takes between 1-2 hours, and 1 day of hospitalization may be required optionally. The next day, patients can return to their daily life.

 

A special bandage is used for 2 weeks to protect the new shape of the auricle.
